Feeling Stuck in Life — or Like Something Essential Is Missing?
Coaching for Inner Clarity, Purpose and Sustainable Change
Many of us live in ways that no longer reflect our true personality and purpose – past the life that’s truly ours.
Do you sometimes feel caught in the famous rat race or a comfort zone,
just marking time, waiting for something outside to finally change?
We all know these feelings we’d rather avoid, when we feel the disconnect from ourselves, a lack of meaning or depth in our lives.
When we feel dissatisfied, futile, inadequate, helpless. Stretched too far or not enough. Lonely, perhaps.
Something feels off. And deep down, we know it cannot go on like this.
When something no longer fits, inside us or in the life we’ve built, it’s not just discomfort, but a signal: a call for transformation.
Whether you’re seeking greater purpose, inner alignment, or meaningful transformation – this may be your turning point.
Real Change, From the Inside Out
Not Quick Fixes – Real Change Doesn’t Happen at the Surface
It begins at the roots: in how we see ourselves, what we believe, and what we avoid. Unless we understand what’s holding us back, we’ll keep trying to optimize things that were never aligned to begin with.
I don’t offer band-aids, quick fixes, or performance makeovers. What I offer is space. Space to reflect, to (re)connect, and to move forward with depth, clarity, and intention.
This is not about chasing goals for their own sake. It’s about becoming more conscious of yourself and aligning your actions with what truly matters to you.
My coaching is systemic in perspective and integrated in method. My coaching is grounded in values and guided by one belief: real transformation begins with self-awareness.
If you’re seeking more than surface solutions and want to explore what’s essential, I’m here to support you on your journey.
I help you develop the awareness and character to live a meaningful, fulfilling life informed by both research and timeless wisdom.

As a Coach I am…
Present and focused: I’m a present listener, with fine antennae – curious, open and non-judgemental.
Connection and safe space: I aim to build real connection and create a trustworthy space, where clients feel safe to open up and reflect.
Profound and reflective: My desire to understand helps us explore the roots of the goals and challenges brought into coaching.
Kind and bold: I enjoy challenging paradigms, which makes me a valuable, independent sparring partner – with a broad, reflective perspective and kind boldness.
Whether I’m coaching a reflective mind, supporting a young leader, guiding a team through change, or designing a workshop, I bring structured thinking, calm clarity, and human insight to the table.
If I were an animal in school, I would have been an owl – always observing, thinking deeply, and seeking wisdom. I’ve been the person people turn to when they need a new perspective (or answer), a thought-provoking question, or simply someone who truly listens.
That same curiosity and love for insight now guide my coaching and ongoing personal development.
My Approach
For Work That Matters and Lives That Feel Whole

I help individuals and teams become more self-aware, think more deeply and broadly, and move forward with intention.
- My coaching is systemic, integrated, and holistic – inspired by the belief that better (self-) leadership begins with deeper self-awareness.
- It is rooted in values. I support you in rediscovering what truly matters to you and aligning your choices accordingly.

Sustainable, Effective Coaching
- Coaching becomes powerful when it fosters awareness and lasting change (not a short-lived boost), but real transformation grounded in deep self-understanding.
- I don’t offer surface solutions. I focus on the roots of goals, thought patterns, and behaviours.
- Coaching, for me, isn’t about giving answers or telling people who to be. It’s about helping them uncover their own answers, align everyday decisions with deeper purpose, and move toward a life and career that feel authentic and fulfilling.
- The quality of our encounter matters, building on resonance and connection.

My Philosophy
- I don’t work with specific methods or tools. Instead, my approach is grounded in a humanistic and constructivist human- and worldview. I draw from depth psychology, philosophy, and ancient wisdom traditions and like to combine those with modern research findings.
- Among my thinker-heroes, who deeply shaped my perspective, are people like Stephen R. Covey, Aristotle, Buddha, Viktor Frankl and Erich Fromm.
Let’s create space for what’s essential, so that better work, wiser leadership, and more fulfilling lives can emerge
What my clients say about me
“Overall, I am very happy with the coaching sessions I had with Julia and I can truly recommend her as a coach. I really appreciated our conversations as she was never judgemental but rather understanding the topics I brought to the sessions. I enjoyed the time together with Julia a lot. Her empathetic attitude and clear questions, helped me to focus on myself, feeling safe to open up and work together. I can really recommend her as a coach.
Julia asked relevant questions, in a clear manner, and gave tips and book recommendations to further work and grow.”

Falling for the Machine
Falling in love with a machine isn’t just science fiction. It’s the premise of Der Sandmann, written in 1816 by E.T.A. Hoffmann. In it, a man falls for a lifelike automaton (named Olimpia), believing she’s real. When he discovers the truth, he loses his mind.
Without Strategy, There Is No Meaning – In Business and Life
In 2011, HP’s leadership made a shocking announcement: eliminate its PC business, one of its core revenue drivers. Entire functions were cut, employees were left in the dark, confusion and fear spread. The move, led by then-CEO Leo Apotheker, was abrupt and lacked a clear long-term strategy.

Who I Am
About me – Coach, Strategist & Thought Partner
I’m driven by a desire “to understand whatever holds the world together in its inmost folds” (Goethe). This pursuit of essence – of roots, first principles, and timeless wisdom – shapes how I think, seek understanding, and connect.
I look beneath the surface, drawn to the invisible threads that hold complexity together.
My work is also about integration, bringing together what may seem contradictory: reason and intuition, strategy and soul, clarity and depth.

Me, Privately
I’m a mother of two and a partner. I enjoy reading, yoga, meditation, cycling, cooking, gardening and knitting. I find clarity and calm in nature – especially by the lakes and forests of Finland, or the mountains of Central Switzerland.
I’ve experienced what it means to be in pain and feel stuck. I know the path of transformation – mentally, emotionally, physically. I know what it means to turn over every stone and grow beyond old patterns.
My cultural awareness is grounded in my German-Finnish roots, extended family ties in China and Japan, international job experiences, and ongoing collaboration in global environments.
